Deferrization Systems For
Agricultural and Industrial usage

Remon – Unequalled Innovators in the field of water
A forward-thinking European family business with roots in Northern Netherlands, Remon has been transforming water for factories, livestock and humans for over 40 years, driven by vision and expertise.
Expanding Remon’s operational area to Ireland
Remon has expanded beyond the Netherlands, establishing branches in Germany and partnerships with dealers in Belgium, Denmark, and the Baltic States. In 2024, Remon Water Treatment will further extend its reach to Ireland, offering iron deferrization systems to the agricultural and industrial sectors in collaboration with Michael White Pump Services LTD. Remon will supply the systems, while Michael White Pump Services LTD will handle installation and maintenance. This partnership ensures top-tier water treatment technology, eliminating iron, manganese, odors, slime, and excess salt. With Michael White Pump Services LTD’s experience since 2010, your installation and maintenance are in expert hands.
Everything built in house – Installations
At Remon, only the best is good enough. That’s why every plant is designed and manufactured in-house, ensuring unparalleled quality. From crafting custom moulds and designing detailed schematics to programming advanced systems and overseeing installation and maintenance, every step is handled with precision and expertise.

Open Deferrization
At Remon, a deferrization plant is an open purification system in which well water (groundwater) is atomized at the top of the filter tower. The presence of oxygen oxidises metals like iron and manganese in the back of the filter package. If the filter pack is saturated over time, the backwash system is automatically activated. A reverse flushing cycle, in combination with gusts of air, ensures that the filter package is cleaned and ready for further purification. Remon started the production of the first real ‘fully automatic’ deferrization plant more than 45 years ago.

For all kinds of industries
REM3000
The REM3000, the result of four decades of REMON expertise and advanced communication technology, marks a new stage in water treatment. This successor to the REM2000 deferrization plant efficiently removes iron, manganese, methane and hydrogen sulphide from spring water. The process enriches the water with oxygen, resulting in an excellent taste. The intelligent REM3000 manages all processes independently and in an environmentally friendly way, while simple operation and numerous features ensure top performance for high quality drinking water.

“After struggling for years with rusty discoloured water, staining and blocking pipework and fittings in my milking parlour, I installed a REM3000 NTXL iron and manganese filtration system and was amazed by the results. It reduced my problematic iron count of 7520 μg/L to <10 and i now have crystal clear water.”
“At Glin Castle we pride ourselves in giving the best to our guests and water is no exception. We installed the Rem 3000 NTXL Iron and Manganese filtration system to eliminate Iron and Manganese which was present in our borehole well. Upon retesting our water after installation of the filter we can now be confident that our water is well within the EU Regulations for water drinking quality and that our customers can get the best natural water available.”
One machine for each water demand
The open deferrization installations by Remon are versatile and can be used in multiple ways. Such an installation can be applied in a single setup or, in the case of an intensive purification demand, in series. For a larger water demand, installations can be placed in parallel.
Single Line-up:
The installation is directly connected to the waterwell, and with an underwater pump or an above-ground pump, the water is pumped directly into the installation. Here, the water is atomized, and iron and manganese are oxidized, allowing the water source gases to escape, and the oxides are captured. At the bottom of the installation, the water is pumped away and transferred to the point of consumption.

Serial line-up:
In the case of water that requires an even more intensive purification for iron and manganese, multiple (often 2) installations are placed in series, one after the other. This allows for a slightly higher flow than a single setup, and the purification intensity is increased. The two installations are controlled from a single control panel.

Parallel line-up:
If the water demand is higher than the capacity of a single machine, it is possible to choose to place multiple machines next to each other. The source pump is then configured like a hydrofoil, and the installations ‘tap’ their water from the source pump themselves. In this way, capacities of more than 100 m3/h can be achieved without compromising the quality of the purified water. For larger systems, the FLOW technology is often used with a central pump set to keep energy consumption as efficient as possible.

Prevent well gasses in your water with a Remon Multifilter
The water in Irish soil always contains soil gas. Due to pressure at the bottom of the soil, the gas is dissolved in the groundwater. These gases, consisting of carbon dioxide (CO2), hydrogen sulfide (H2S), and methane (CH4), are dissolved in the water under pressure and are released from the water when it is pumped up. Think of opening a bottle of mineral water; when the pressure is released, bubbles rise to the surface. The same happens with the water you pump from your own well. It is very important to allow the gas in the water to escape and to properly vent the gases. If the gas remains in the water, it can cause many problems.

Disadvantages of not degassing your water

The benefits of aerated and degassed water
Properly treated well water is always degassed. Degassing is the foundation of good drinking water. For human drinking water, degassed and aerated water is a legal requirement, and the same should apply to livestock drinking water. Additionally, degassed and aerated water allows for much better water intake compared to water treated with techniques that do not aerate and degas it. Moreover, these techniques often require softening salts, which can lead to significantly higher annual costs.

Remon’s systems always deliver gas-free water that meets all requirements of livestock farming
Remon always advises using an open aerator, and fortunately, this advice is often followed by our customers. We also offer aerators and open systems that achieve optimal degassing and aeration of spring water. Unlike strip towers or repurposed purification bottles, our systems are professional, self-cleaning filters designed to provide good, clear, and aerated drinking water for decades, without unpleasant slime formation and salt costs.

The most reliable Water purification with NT
All Remon Deferrization systems are equipped with smart control featuring network technology. This NT (Network Technology) control allows you, as a user, to fully visualize, operate, and read the machine’s operation in a graphical interface. Remon can log into the installation, read, adjust if necessary, and operate it remotely when connected to the internet or a 4G modem.
Due to its multi-layered structure, users can safely read the menu and perform certain actions. However, since no treated water is the same, every water purification need is unique. Remon can open the entire menu using a login code, allowing the machine to be fully configured to the specific customer’s situation.
Any malfunctions are indicated on the screen and can be reset, even remotely via the internet. In practice, you may not even notice an issue with the machine because Remon’s service department often resolves it remotely, sometimes even at no cost.
Remon’s Network Technology can often be integrated into existing management systems using TCP/IP or through a secure network viewer accessible worldwide via the internet. By using water purifications with NT, you truly have the most reliable water purification!

Digital smart control of your water treatment equipment NT-Controller® by Remon
The NT-Controler®” is equipped with a large colour touch screen. This screen is easily linked to a tablet, laptop or PC via the Internet, making it possible to monitor and control all functions remotely. The main screen shows a real-time colour image with all current plant data. The screen makes it possible to set up the plant optimally, but also to detect faults and to solve them yourself. Complex faults can be forwarded directly to Remon’s service department, which can analyse the fault and, if possible, already solve it by logging into the NT-Controler® remotely. The actual water consumption per day or period is also clearly displayed on the screen.
This is why The NT-Controller® Is the best solution
